Adults
Adult small groups
Looking for a small group to get plugged in with?
Why not check out one of our Bible Study groups that meets on Sunday mornings at 9:15? These groups offer a range of circumstances. We have an older men's group, a couple of ladies classes, a young adult class as well as a couple's class. Our Sunday evening groups are discipleship focused. They run for a few weeks at a time and delve into specific ways of applying God's Word to your everyday life. We also offer a Thursday night Life Group that meets year round and is geared toward young adults. All of our groups love getting into the Bible (often over a cup of coffee) as we discuss and challenge each other to be more like Christ.
Wednesday nights at 6:30 is our Prayer Meeting small group. Each Wednesday night we gather as a group and pray for the needs of our church, community, nation, and the world. This is group is open to anyone interested in prayer.
Contact our office and speak to our staff or stop by the Information Desk on Sunday mornings at 9 AM and we can find out which class might best suit your needs.
Preschool and Children Ministry
For the little ones
At First Baptist Church Broussard we want your children to enjoy learning the Bible in a fun and safe environment. We have a check-in desk off to the right of our Main Entrance where you can sign your children in and they will receive a name tag. All of our volunteers have gone through a background check, and are the only ones who will be engaging with your children. Our Preschool hall is secured and we only allow volunteers to go back there.
We also have plenty to engage your child. Sunday mornings at 9:15 we offer age appropriate Bible lessons and activities for them to enjoy.
Afterwards, preschoolers can stay in their classes for a second hour of teaching during the Extended Session while you go to worship service.
Children will go with you to the main worship service. Once our worship time is done children may then dismiss to Children's Church upstairs or remain with you for the rest of the service.
(Dismissal is during the Tithes and Offerings portion of the service.)
Student Ministry
Students
Our student ministry engages 6th through 12th graders. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun place to get away from the world and learn more about a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our ministry theme verse is Psalm 34:8,
"Come and taste that the Lord is good. Blessed are those who take refuge in Him."
Students can join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 before morning worship for a small group. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 in our student and community building The Refuge across the street from our parking lot.
